Delbana is a Swiss company that makes watches. It was founded in 1933 in Grenchen by Goliardo Della Balda from San Marino. Delbana belongs to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FHS). In the early 1920s, a young man by the name of Goliardo Della Balda ventured away from the hilltop enclave of San Marino with his family to create a new life in Switzerland, where he later challenged himself to master the intricacies of the watchmaking business in the burgeoning timepiece capital of the world. He had always longed to own a great timepiece, but at the time it seemed like a luxury for someone of his humble beginnings. Until the 1950s, the main markets for Delbana were South American countries. Since the 1950s, Eastern European countries (sales mainly to Poland) have been added to the sales markets. Delbana’s philosophy of designing sophisticated high-quality Swiss-made watches inspired by history’s peaks in sophistication and glamour has solidified our place in the global watch industry. Their continuous focus on the intersection of style, functionality and caliber serves as the ongoing motivation for today’s classic line of affordable luxury timepieces for cultured ladies and gentlemen who embrace life to the fullest.
